While the ilvl scaling is good in theory, as it prevents a level 51 character from feeling twice as powerful as a level 49 character, it means your character in Mage Tower has both worse stats AND enemies have SUBSTANTIALLY more health and damage.Īs it stands, Mage Tower is impossible on the beta. Kind of a bummer that such a major form is locked forever. Turns out this is an artifact of Blizzard changing ilvl scaling as you level. I thought this was just a bug and/or an artifact of a DF Aura Buff applied to test meatier quest mobs. So I noticed on the beta that mobs in Mage Tower had about 80% more HP.
